Welcome to the Summer School in Uralic Formal Linguistics!
The goal of the summer school is to provide the participants with knowledge and resources on the grammatical properties of Uralic languages, and promote them not only as endangered languages in need of more detailed documentation, but also as languages rich in theoretically interesting phenomena.
The school has an explicit focus on formal approaches to the study of Uralic languages and is aimed at advanced undergraduate and graduate students with a background in linguistics.
Important information
We plan for the school to be held fully offline/in person.
(If there is sufficient interest, we will arrange for a synchronous Zoom connection for the classes, in order to allow for hybrid participation, but the amount of support for online participants may be limited and will be at the lecturer's discretion - e.g., with respect to Q&A, any homework assignments, etc. If you are interested in participating online, please send us an email.)
Participating in the school is free of charge.
